Hey! It's Amanda :) Here to promote transparency, I'll let you in on some of my plans for AFBSC.
Currently, I've been working on finalizing itineraries for some of our events, and I've come far along with a few:
For our coffee mixer, I'm in the process of contacting multiple business owners to see if I can utilize their space for little to no fee. In exchange, my event would bring customers into their establishment and provide promotion. Here's a venue I have in mind (not finalized yet!)...
Birch Coffee (near Pace University for convenience!)
8 Spruce St, New York, NY 10038
Isn't it so cute! I love that there's so much seating (perfect for meeting all of you!) and a vast menu for handcrafted drinks. Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear from you. You can send recommendations my way any time, especially if you have connections to free use of coffee spaces :)
Next, for our Tennis Tourney, I've found a very affordable option. For NYC, public court reservation costs 15$ per court, and I'd simply reserve a few courts for us to play on. For now, I don't think that I'd charge any of you, but it definitely depends on how many courts I rent based on the demand and interest in this activity. All equipment will be at the responsibility of the player to own/rent/buy separately. There's two public NYC court spaces I was looking at...
Central Park Courts
1 West 96th Street &, Central Park West, New York, NY 10025
96th Street Clay Tennis Courts
Hudson River Greenway, New York, NY 10025
Let me know what you think! I'll keep you all updated.

Both courts look cute! But the Central Park one would definitely be more aesthetic ✨
